Hi Kwaku, congratulations on a great program and Happy New Year to you. i must say Kwaku one-on-one, as well as Front Page really illuminates journalism in Ghana. i listened to your interview with Marcel Desailly on TV3, and read the intro on your website, and i must say that there were factual inaccuracies that Marcel himself should have corrected. As an ardent football fan, i couldn't help but write to you to coreect them. At France 98 where the home team won the World Cup for the first time, the captain of the team was Didier Deschamps and not Marcel. Deschamps had played with Marcel at Olympique Marseille, and was then playing for Juventus in Italy whilst Desailly was at AC Milan. At Euro 2000, Deschamps again captained the French team. this time both Deschamps and Desailly were playing at Chelsea. Desailly only captained the team at the World Cup in Korea/Japan in 2002 and the 2004 European Champonships in Portugal. In 2002 France notably crashed out in the first round of the World Cup, and at Euro 2004 they got to the quarter finals, where they lost 1-0 to the eventual winners Greece. Desailly's tenure as captain of France did not bring any major honours to the country and he should have been bold to say so. Suffice it to say that his performance on the pitch during his membership of the French team was outstanding. i have followed Desailly from Nantes to Marseille, where he played with Abedi Pele, AC Milan and Chelsea. let it be placed on record that he and Gianfranco Zola were the reason why i visited Stamford Bridge in November 1999, and which eventually led to my un-alloyed support for Chelsea. He should have been bold to tell you he wasn't the captain during those period you attributed to him. The French normally choose their captains based on seniority in the national team. From Deschamps, the captancy moved to Desailly, then to Zinedine Zidane, then Patrick Viera, and now Thierry Henry. Somewhere along the line Lilian Thuram deputised for both Zidane and Viera when they were not available
Best Regards Michael |

Hi Kwaku, For me You always raise the bar of journalism in this country with your insightful interviews and write-ups. However, You have not been updating your ESSAYS column since May. Why? You used to transpose your Interviews on your programme(KWAKU-ONE-ON-ONE) into text to enable people who miss the show to read but lately you have not been doing it why?. Please keep the spirit going. Write more and regularly. All the best. |

| Hi Kweku, congratulations for the wonderful work you are doing. This is my very first time of visiting your site, because one of my stories was linked to the site. I must say that i really admire your courage. Looking through the picture gallery one question i kept asking myself was when will i also get this opportunity. But i know in life, most of the great people like you, also started from somewhere. So keep up the good work and may God grant you all the grace to even exile to higher heights. |

Kwaku, you are a great inspiration to me. All this while ,I presumed Ann Sakyi was your wife. I am marveled by all the success you have achieved in your life, and I presuming you are not even 50 yet.As a student of Achimota School,I am proud to be associated with you.Your life is trumpeting to us in particular the 'YES WE CAN'message loud and clear and the fact that we have no excuse not to succeed in life.Thank you for being who you are. |
