Kwaku One on One

Sekou Nkrumah, Youngest Son Of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Was On KWAKU One-On-One On 9th February 2009

It’s 100 years this year since Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was born, & 43 years this month since his overthrow. There couldn’t be a better time to assess the man, his overall legacy & the future prospects of the party he founded, the CPP. And so I asked Dr. Nkrumah’s youngest son, the enigmatic Sekou Nkrumah to lead us in that enterprise. A PhD in African Literature & former director of the Du Bois Centre for Pan-African Studies, Sekou left the CPP & crossed over to the NDC, suggesting that the CPP was hanging on to history & straw instead of building new bricks for the future. Sekou is one of Ghana’s top chess players. Is his decision a clever tactical move? Or a betrayal that will lead to his own checkmate?
