Samia Yabah Nkrumah was only five years old when her father, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President, was overthrown in a millitary coup in 1966. Subsequently, she lived in Egypt, her Mother’s home country; then returned to Ghana to school as a teenager; then back to Egypt. Then to the UK. And back to Egypt, and Italy working as a journalist. Now at 48, she’s back, once again in Ghana, to end her nomadic life and seek political office as an MP on the ticket of her father’s CPP, in the region where his navel is buried. Has Kwame Nkrumah’s political spirit finally taken possession of Samia Yabah? She was on KWAKU one-on-one on Sunday, 24th August, 2008
