Last year, Zimbabwean television journalist Hopewell Rugoho-Chin’ono followed two Zimbabweans living with HIV & AIDS, and told their story – an account of illness, poverty & pain in a land where there could easily have been an abundance of life, hope & happiness. On Saturday, 19th July, 2008, Hopewell’s work won him the CNN/Multi choice African Journalist of the year trophy. He joins us in the company of Joel Kibazo, the first African reporter on the Financial Times, former Communications Director at the Commonwealth Secretariat, one of the World’s top wordsmiths & a judge at the African Journalism awards.
