Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni is Ghana’s Foreign Minister. He is embattled by an adverse auditor General’s draft report. A seasoned lawyer, he served as Minister for Labour & Social Welfare in the 90’s. In 2004 he was Prof. Mills’ running-mate but suffered a broken leg in a motor car accident, and subsequently lost the election. Now a Foreign Minister, he’s dogged by allegations of financial impropriety that threatens his job. Is this a case of political persecution, poor judgment or ill luck, or bad destiny?

Elizabeth Halcrow is a British Historian & Teacher. She knows West Africa from the early 17th Century, as well as she knows the back of her hand. She taught in Ghana for decade. Among her students were one Spio-Gargrah, the athletic brothers Osei DK and Osei AA, and many others in business and academia. Now 84 and resident in Jamaica, she’s back in Ghana for the first time in 36yrs. As a historian whose job it is to look at yesterday to forecast tomorrow, what’s her prognosis for Ghana’s future?
